This 18" Outrigger is used in conjunction with our Steel Multi-Function Unit (MFU).
You must use a 5" Locking Caster w/Square Stem for MFU (Product # 050005) with this Outrigger.
The Outrigger gets pinned to the leg of the MFU with Span Pins (includes 2 Span Pins)
This Outrigger is used to widen the base of the MFU.
OSHA mandates Supported Scaffolds, with a height to base width ratio of more than 4:1 be restrained from tipping by guying, tying, bracing, or equivalent means. This means, anytime you are stacking more than 1 MFU, you must use 4 Outriggers (1 per leg), or restrain the MFU from tipping (by an OSHA accepted method). |
